Last year I announced that OK!Dolls was having a short break while we relocated from Brisbane to Christchurch, NZ
And then that short break turned into a year…and what a year for us all
When I came up with the idea for OK!Dolls in 2018 there were two things I wanted the dolls to do: empower kids to step into the shoes of real life role models and inspire playful learning
As the range grew from the original 6 to 20 you’ve shared with me how OK!Dolls have been played with at your place.
I saw how having these role models in the hands of kids actually makes a difference. Not only are they playful companions but also epic conversation starters about what is possible
In early March I started planning our reopening, the plan being to open the (online) doors in April. That got put on hold abruptly when NZ went into a full lockdown
But [and this is the bit you’ve been waiting to read, right ] we’re doing it and OK!Dolls will be back in early September
The best way to stay in the loop is to join the mailing list and I can fill you in on who will be available and how to get your hands on them
Our dolls are made to be part of the action. Whether that’s helping to launch epic house-sized play adventures or simply being cuddled throughout the day.
I want kids to be inspired to step into the shoes of their heroes and use our dolls create a make believe adventure with them as the narrator.
